Itinerary
ITINERARIO :
We begin the tour with pickup from your hotel in Lima at 04:30 hrs to board the bus bound for the Bay of Paracas. Upon arrival, we will head to the Paracas tourist dock, where we’ll start the boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands. Along the way, our local guide will provide information about the area. The Ballestas Islands are a paradisiacal place full of seabirds, sea lions, and other marine species. After touring these small islands by boat, we will return to the dock.
We will also take a land tour through the Paracas Reserve. During this walk, we will visit the interpretation center of the reserve, which offers interesting exhibits and photos showcasing the area’s wildlife and natural environment.
Later, we will arrive at the popular oasis known as “Huacachina“—undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking desert landscapes in South America, with whimsical formations and stunning views of the Peruvian Andes. Next, we will explore the dunes surrounding this great oasis in dune buggies (sand cars), riding up and down the vast desert dunes.
The transport will take us to the top of a large dune, where our guide-instructor will teach us how to safely practice sandboarding. Once we’ve received the instructions, we can enjoy this adventure sport with confidence. In the afternoon, we’ll also enjoy a beautiful sunset at the oasis.
Return to Lima, estimated arrival time: 22:00 hrs.
