ITINERARY:

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 a.m., then we will head towards the southern valley of Cusco in our tourist transport together with our guide and the entire excursion group. The trip will last approximately 3 hours until we reach the town of Vinincunca, where after having a restorative breakfast we will begin our walk. We will be immediately surprised by the great scenic beauty, the flora and fauna of this magical place with herds of alpacas and llamas, we will definitely witness the incredible views offered by the Ausangate mountain.

After a walk of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, we will arrive at our destination: Vinincunca or better known as the “Mountain of Seven Colors”. Once at the top we will be able to appreciate the beauty and magic of the Rainbow Mountain and its surroundings, as well as the snowy Ausangate, one of the most revered mountains in the region. After taking as many photos as we can, we will resume the walk downhill until we reach the town of Cusipata, where we will recharge our energy with an exquisite lunch.

Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco in our transport, concluding the tour at a location near the Plaza de Armas. The estimated time of arrival is around 5:30 p.m.

• Entrance to Rainbow Mountain: S/30.00 soles per person (It is important to carry cash in soles for purchasing the entry tickets).
• Optional horse rental: Negotiable price between 80  – 100 soles (approx. $25), to be paid directly to the owner, who will accompany you during the route guiding the horse.

• WARM CLOTHES: Mornings are cold and windy, while afternoons are dry and sunny.
• EXTRA MONEY IN SOLES: For personal expenses such as snacks, water or souvenirs.
• WOOL GLOVES: Important to protect yourself from the cold, especially when taking photos or enjoying the place.
• COMFORTABLE TREKKING SHOES: That provides good support during the hike.
• HAT OR CAP: To protect yourself from the sun.
• SUNGLASSES: To protect your eyes.
• SUNSCREEN: Important for sunny afternoons.
• WATER OR REHYDRATING DRINKS: To stay hydrated during the hike.
• ADDITIONAL SNACKS: Bring nuts, chocolate bars or cookies for energy.
