Itinerary
ITINERARY: 7 LAGOONS OF AUSANGATE FULL DAY TOUR
At 04:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and begin our 3-hour journey in a tourist bus heading southeast of the city. Along the way, we will pass through various towns and villages until we reach the town of Pacchanta, where a delicious breakfast awaits us.
After breakfast, we will start our hike toward the 7 lakes of Ausangate. Our guide will accompany us throughout the walk and provide detailed explanations about the origin of each lake. We will have time to take photos and admire the stunning Ausangate Mountain.
Next, we will visit the following lakes. Their colors are fascinating, with some of them resembling natural mirrors due to their large size, while others are smaller and each one unique from the previous. The hike lasts approximately 5 hours, including both the ascent and descent. Along the way, we will observe the local flora, as well as various animals such as Andean birds like the Huallata and Andean falcon, camels, vizcachas, and more.
After completing the 7-lake circuit, we will return to Pacchanta to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by local families. Then, we’ll have some free time to relax and enjoy the views. If desired, you can also unwind in the Pacchanta hot springs (optional), which offer a stunning view of Nevado Ausangate as they are located at its base and are open-air.
After an extraordinary experience, we will return to Cusco, concluding the tour near Plaza de Armas around 07:30 PM.
