PALCCOYO MOUNTAIN TOUR

ITINERARY: 

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 04:00 AM. Then, we will head towards the southern valley of Cusco in our tourist transport, along with our guide and the rest of the excursion group. The journey will take approximately 3 hours, until we arrive in the town of Cusipata, where a pleasant breakfast awaits us.

After breakfast, we will continue our journey to the town of Pitumarca. Accompanied by our guide, we will begin a light 45-minute walk. During the hike, we will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. From the summit of Palccoyo Mountain, you will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. You will have the opportunity to take memorable photos of the colorful landscapes, breathe in the fresh air of the highlands, admire the Ausangate snow-capped peak, the stone forest, and not to be missed, the Red Valley. We will also see the flora and fauna of the area, including herds of alpacas and llamas along the way.

After our walk, we will arrive at our destination, Palccoyo, where our guide will provide the corresponding explanation about the place. You will have time to contemplate the beautiful scenery of the three mountains and enjoy the majesty of the natural colors. You will have time to take photos and relax. Once we finish exploring, we will return to the tourist transport to head back to the town of Cusipata, where a delicious buffet lunch awaits us.

Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco in our transport, finishing the tour near the Plaza de Armas. The estimated arrival time is around 17:30 PM.

• EXTRA MONEY IN SOLES: For personal expenses such as snacks, water or souvenirs.
• WOOL GLOVES: Important to protect yourself from the cold, especially when taking photos or enjoying the place.
• COMFORTABLE TREKKING SHOES: That provides good support during the hike.
• HAT OR CAP: To protect yourself from the sun.
• SUNGLASSES: To protect your eyes.
• SUNSCREEN: Important for sunny afternoons.
• WATER OR REHYDRATING DRINKS: To stay hydrated during the hike.
• ADDITIONAL SNACKS: Bring nuts, chocolate bars or cookies for energy.
